These are general minimum requirements for international admission to the Graduate College. Requirements of the academic subprogram offering your degree may be higher. International students do not qualify for an application fee waiver.
Minimum requirements include:
- A U.S. bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college of university, or an equivalent degree from another country as determined by the Office of Admissions.
- A minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00/4.00, or the foreign equivalent as determined by the Office of Admissions.
- English Proficiency Requirements
Automatic waivers are granted for persons who have completed a bachelor's degree (or higher) at an accredited university in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada (excluding French Quebec), Africa (English speaking), Australia, or New Zealand. The strongest international applicants will have TOEFL scores of 100 or greater or an IELTS overall score of 8.0 or higher.
