On April 20th, 2023, the Undergraduate Microbiology Research poster session showcased the work of 15 students engaged in undergraduate research.
Undergraduate research is crucial for students to gain practical skills and prepare for future academic and professional pursuits. Research helps an undergraduate student develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Faculty and their laboratory staff guide students through the research process by providing direction, feedback, and resources.
