We are delighted to share that Dr. Alex Kleinpeter, Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, has been awarded a prestigious Pathway to Independence Award (R00) from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. Kleinpeter’s research project, titled “Elucidating the Role of IP6 in HIV-1 Assembly, Maturation, and Infection,” will receive $498,000 in funding over two years to support this important work.
