This year’s Kids Go STEM event, held earlier this month, gave sixth‑ through eighth‑grade students an exciting chance to explore science through hands‑on learning and career discovery. Microbiology and Immunology Associate Professor of Instruction Theresa Ho, PhD, along with enthusiastic graduate, medical, and MSTP student volunteers, guided the program’s interactive activities as they introduced young learners to the world of microbes.
This event highlighted not only how fascinating microbes can be, but also the inspiring people who study them every day. The kids walked away with new insights—and plenty of excitement for STEM!
