The Department of Microbiology and Immunology’s Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium was held on April 30, 2026, showcased outstanding student research and presentations.

Madeline Broghammer (Haim Lab) received the Allen J. Markovitz Award for Best Poster at the 2026 symposium. Audrey Hake (Roller Lab) and Libby Nyberg (Tucker Lab) tied for second place. 

The event featured 26 posters, all exhibiting high-quality research and presentation. Faculty and staff judges evaluated each poster based on visual clarity, the strength of data supporting the conclusions, and the presenters’ ability to clearly explain their research and interpret results. The symposium was an enormous success, and all participating students deserve congratulations for their excellent work.
