Undergraduates

Microbiology is an excellent major for undergraduate students who want a good general education emphasizing an important and interesting branch of biology. Microbiology is also an excellent preparatory major for medical, dental, and other professional health training students.

Publication Highlight

The study highlights that TRAF3 is essential for the generation and maintenance of germinal centers, which are critical for robust humoral immunity. Using a mouse model of Plasmodium infection, the researchers discovered that TRAF3 promotes TFH cell lineage commitment through transcriptional and epigenetic reprogramming of CD4 T cells and coordination of cytokine receptor signaling.
